We came for an afternoon out at the falls. We paid for 2 hours parking as we arrived at about 4pm. Parking was reasonable for an attraction. The falls themselves were magnificent. Makes me wish we got there sooner. We are planning to come again but earlier in the day with a picnic and use one of the tables dotted... More

I had heard a lot about this place and was very excited to see the falls, on getting to them I hoped there was more to see but unfortunately what we seen was actually it. It is nice to look at but I was just expecting a bit more to them that's all.

Visiting these falls was part of a 5 mile walk to west Burton. It would be hard to imagine a better time of year to visit than in the spring after heavy rain. Which left the falls cascading with large quantities of water making it a sight not to be missed.

Once parked up, you can go in a variety of directions to view the falls. The sound of the water is all around and after following the paths to the viewing points, the sight is breathtaking. There is also an excellent tea room near the upper falls which is perfect for a stop off.

When we visited it was raining so the falls were in full momentum and the noise of the water was spectacular, we visited the upper falls first then onto the middle falls. We'll be back again to do the proper walk to see all the falls and maybe onto Castle Bolton. Be warned its slippery if it has been raining... More

We parked, at the visitor center and walked down to the falls, the path is wheelchair friendly.. Off the carpark and path it was quite muddy when we went so we only went down to the falls, over the bridge and took photos, just as you see... It is worth stopping and looking and also listening to the rushing water,... More
