7 reviews
Explore the wild winter landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales National Park on this action-packed full-day tour from York. Visit the lively market towns of Ripon and Masham; explore the royal castle of Middleham and stop for lunch (own expense) in beautiful Reeth. Then, marvel at natural wonders like Aysgarth Falls, Brimham Rocks and Klinsey crag; hear tales of Mary Queen of Scot’s at Castle Bolton; and soak up the atmospheric in the typical Dales villages of Buckden, Kettlewell and Grassington.

The falls and the surrounding area are magical location for a frosty 5 mile ramble. Another example of what we need to be proud of in Northern England.

It has been raining over the last few weeks so the falls were in full flow, very spectacular. Paths are all a bit muddy but I guess you should expect that after the recent weather. There is a honesty box but it didn’t seem to be getting much use

Well worth the walks either from the private car park near the main road or the National park one. Wear sturdy shoes as it’s very muddy and so slippery. But enjoy this nature’s wonderful.

We picked a perfect day to visit the falls, which were storming from the previous days rainfall, so that they were truly spectacular

Great to hear that you saw the falls at their best. Along with the Autumn colours they have been rather spectacular. The scenery changes with the seasons so you may wish to pay us a return visit in the Spring when all the woodland flowers are in bloom. Thank you for visiting.

Short walk mostly on the flat, suitable for toddlers and dogs. Great views even in wet weather! Get there early to get a parking space!
