Set in a very nice village that is worth a look around. The castle itself is free to get to visit and has amazing views of the surrounding areas. The museum is worth a look and great for the kids as there are interactive exhibits...More

Thank you for your review. The castle grounds provide a great play area for children to run around and let off steam and there is plenty inside the museum to keep them occupied as well.

Great for a wet day. Good for kids. Very interesting. Lots to see and there is a cafe as well. Take the kids and give it a try.

Thanks for posting a review. As you say, the museum has lots of fun activities to entertain the children on a wet day - dressing-up clothes, craft activities, brass-rubbings and a competition hunt.

Nice walk up to the top where the views are amazing and plenty to see and do in the gardens Dogs welcome aswell as behaves children lol Wish it was warmer for the visit !!

Thank you for posting a review. As well as the outdoor attractions in the castle grounds we also have a great family-friendly museum with lots of activities to keep the children entertained. There is also an art exhibition and café on site.

The castle is a great attraction for young children with treasure hunts in the castle. The castle grounds are extensive with a very good play park and grassy surround for ball games. The cafe/restaurant is very good for tea or coffee and light snacks.

Dogs can be walked in the castle grounds but cannot go in the cafe.

The Musuem and Atrium cafe is accessible by lift and ramp to both levels ant the terrace. You can drop of and there are some spaces and disabled parking also.
