Little to see unless it's an activity day. Lots of imagination needed, high admission price for what's on offer.

Very interesting. Big site. Audio guide useful but long winded! The signage is worn and would benefit from being updated. Small museum worth a look. Probably not enough to keep young ones interested.

No apologies for quoting from the English Heritage website: 'Richborough is a key site in the history of Roman Britain, used during the entire length of the occupation from the invasion of AD 43 until the end of Roman rule in 410.' This place seems...More

This is an interesting sight, and well worth the audio guide since signs have been badly defaced by exposure to the elements. The attached museum, however, is a little musty and feels outdated.

I saw a sign of a Roman Fort in Sandwich, so I had to visit it. It is a very old roman Fort and you can visit it using a spoken guide thing. Its 6,7 pounds for students, so not to expensive.

For anyone with even the slightest interest in the ancient history of Britain, this is one of the must-see sites in the country as it's where the Romans first landed and set up operations when they came to stay in 55BC. Don't expect Rome-level ruins...More

We visited the impressive ruins of the Roman Township at Richborough which was the point from which the Romans launched their invasion of Britain in AD 43. The museum is very interesting and gives some context to your visit. The remains of the walls and...More

It is a long drive down a small country lane to Richborough Fort and the entrance is upon you without realising. I saw the drive to the site but was sceptical at first if it was the correct entrance or a private road. However the...More
