The gardens are delightful. We have visited twice in August and in September and there are a wealth of interesting And unusual plants to see. We spent ages there as iit was so tranquil. There is some inspired gardening going on here. The garden staff...More

These are beautiful gardens. The beds are laid out in a formal style but planted less formally and more cottage garden. The exotic beds are a wonder of plants and a very colourful palate. The different parts of the garden give you different feelings and...More

The garden is deceptively large and hides a large pond. The herbaceous borders are a delight and the dahlias sumptuous. The views towards the magnificent Lutyens mansion cannot be bettered and the overall effect is one of serene beauty. I would caution however, avoid buying...More

Passionately presented and cared for garden, better than any other garden which we visited in the area, despite the very dry summer. Well done to the gardeners.

What a wonderful time we had, from the delicious, well presented tea, views of the garden, g&t's on the terrace followed by a stroll around the beautiful gardens. The service was very good, I loved the fact they talked us through the afternoon tea. Would...More

If you know your plants, then this place will really interest you. The mix of tropical and cottage planting, along with the kitchen garden and other formal areas, is not something which I have seen before. The combination of plating is bold and imaginative and...More

These gardens are delightful. Have been to many gardens in the South East of England and I think these could be my favourite. So much to see, lots of interest and thoughtfully placed seating everywhere. I shall definitely go back again at another time of...More

Lovely gardens. A lovely wander round (you can take dogs). Also have a cafe and a restaurant. The gardens are beautifully kept and several different areas. Several benches giving you the opportunity to sit and enjoy the peaceful setting.

Yes, as long as they're on a lead. Also there is a water bowl in the potting shed/diy tea room for dogs too
