Good number of sit down places to eat and the bread looks great. Other food is available. Upstairs there are a number of retro shops to delight.

We stumbled on the old town taking a short cut and what a stumble. We loved the quirkiness of the buildings and shops

Everyone told me how rundown Margate was. Well they have not been recently. Certainly the old town is reviving with little narrow streets and nice shops including art gallery.

A real surprise to come across. Independent boutiques, pubs , gift shops and restaurants galore. Was just passing through but made me want to come again and spend more time there

We had a good five days I'm Margate, enjoyed the old town, found some great one of a kind things. Heny's was great. Pity that so many places close on Mondays.
