Whilst visiting friends they took us to this beach as it is away from the main beach and is a lovely spot, we were there in May and lots of people about and I expect in the summer it is a great place to be....More

Not sure I should write this review really as this beach is a well kept secret among the locals. Just yards from Margate main beach it is less crowded and quieter. There is a great cafe and shop where you can eat right next to...More

Nice quiet little beach just 5 minutes walk from the main one. It's a great little place for those who don't want the crowded sights of the main beach. Lots of seashells on the beach and very peaceful.

We visited Westbrook after venturing out to the crazy golf. We had always assumed that it wasn't going to be much as it was out of the main Margate area - how wrong we were! it's literally only a 5 minute walk to the main...More

We stayed in a flat directly opposite this beach and loved every moment looking out of the window at the changes in tide, ships passing by, wind farms in the distance, regular outdoor gym sessions, people on the rockpools collecting mussels. On a clear day,...More

I don't know what it is but it captivates me to stand on the promenade or up on the pavement above and jsut look out to the ever changing seascape. It is very clean here also and tranquil.

This is a very relaxing beach. It doesn't seem to get as crowded as Margate and Westgate. There's sand and shells and some pebbles. There are rocks - so have some footwear handy. Cafe close by for the obligatory icecream and lolly or chips etc....More

Brilliant esplanade to walk along and push a wheelchair - nice and smooth for the wheelchair occupant, reasonably flat for the pusher. Long enough for good exercise, well kept, and fine, English beach to look at. Ice cream available at more than one point, toilets...More

We take our grandchildren down to the beach, they love it, easy to reach the water and the tide doesn't come right in to the wall, so kids can enjoy the pleasure all day, toilets and a cafe with a little shop for your buckets...More

My daughter wants to move to Margate but I am concerned that the High Street area is very run down and the crime rate is high. She likes the Old Town area but it is quite small. She is looking for a flat in the Old Town. HELP! Thankyou.

the high street can be a bit daunting but there are lots of very nice areas in margate. tell her to take the plunge she wont regret it and if she is renting she can move around till she finds somewhere that suits her.
