Well worth a visit if in the area. A lot of history and great coastal views. Good pub next to car park and plenty of good walks and cycling.

If you are in Herne Bay and looking for places to visit, this place is worth a visit, easy to find a car park near by. The tower has lots of interesting history. There are also good facilities near by.

This area has a fascinating history, going all the way back to the Romans and beyond, right up to WW2 and the bouncing bomb tests. Take a long walk along the coast up to Reculver Castle and enjoy this beautiful castle ruin. For fans of local history it's a must-see.

walked from Birchington, so watched the towers get bigger - slowly! Highly interesting ruins - just enough information to trigger the imagination. Plus car park, cafe pub, toilets etc - but not too close

This is a good place for a walk along the shoreline. The ruin adds drama and interest and it has been included in many well executed landscape photographs. There is a car park making access easy and a pub. It's not a bad place for fishing with Whiting in Winter and Bass in the Summer.

Don't know much about it but it was worth a quick visit. Good views of the coast. Very good playground for kids nearby.

Good place for an interesting bit of history, or a beach ramble, or a friendly pub visit. Car park charges, but not extortionate. Interesting recap on the history in the nearby centre (with public toilets)

40+ years of living in Kent and today was our first visit to Reculver. We were staying nearby (a belated Xmas treat) and wanted to get in a walk before returning to Tonbridge. Luckily the gale force winds and rain of yesterday had blown away leaving a gloriously sunny if chilly and breezy day, ideal for a walk. We found... More
