Lovely park
Aug 2021 • Family
When I read it was free parking I expected maybe a dozen or so spaces but there were 2 large car parks with more than ample spaces which was a nice surprise. We had a lovely walk around the lake, stopped for a picnic, had a play in the play park and then fed the ducks. There’s lots of other walks but I had a pushchair with me so decided to stick to the lake walk. The shop had a very big queue but the staff were friendly and the prices reasonable. The toilets were very clean and spacious. Lots to do in the play park but I’d say mainly for older ones. We spent a good few hours here and will definitely be back.

This is a family park, great for children, beautiful bridge to watch the ducks and pigeons. The views are amazing! One of the best parks in Medway!

Great place for fun fishing
Sep 2020
I went here purely for fishing and I wasn't dissapointed. I used a 4m elasticated whip and a very sensitive tackle, as I was looking to fish small perch and roach. There are plenty, as I caught around 20 / hour without too much effort. The sized varried between 10 cm - 24cm (the biggest I caught was a 24 cm roach). I used a size 14 hook and white / red maggots. Next time I will go for slightly bigger fish and see what happens. Toilets are clean, the cafe is well stocked and the lake is very very clean. Highly recommend.

We were in the area after visiting relatives, so fancied,as the weather was fit for walking ,to visit Capstone Farm Country Park.

Leave the M2 at Hempstead Valley, which is the local shopping centre for the area, and follow the brown signs to the car park for the country park, parking free, happy days.

Walk down towards the playground, and your see a plan of the park map see below my picture, there are various trails to take and uncover, we took the green trail, which first passes the ski centre, which houses a tobaggan run and dry ski slope, see the website for more information.

Passing through Drow Hill Wood, you cross and area called event field, you continue down wooded pathways and open field lan see below my pictures, before reaching Millennium Wood another wooded area before reaching the car park and the playground again.

Walk down the hill, towards the fishing lake, lakeside cafeteria and toilet facilities and visitor centre.

As you wander around the lake, there are plenty of seats to sit, after you walk on the various routes, see by my pictures below, before crossing the bridge back to the car park, as previously mentioned there is the Lakeside Cafeteria, we declined to visit on this occasion but it’s there if you require it.

So to Summit up, Capstone may get Extremely busy at Peak times, so go visit the Country Park,go on you know you want to.

Nice walks
Feb 2020 • Couples
We just had a lovely walk on one of the three trails. There's a lake where children can feed the resident swans and ducks, and platforms were anglers can fish. A small cafeteria, adventure playground, something for everyone

Capstone Farm Alpacas
Jan 2020 • Family
Amazing small holding opposite the entrance to Capstone country park. Lovely friendly relaxed experience. Sharon and Jackie assisted us with our walk. Introduced us to the female and baby Alpacas. Then on to met the boys, Zorro, Curly, Miller & Rolo. Once harnessed up off we set. Staff very talkative with lots of information about the Alpacas. Set in Capstone valley amazing views ( we had a sunny morning ) . Highly recommended. They also offer met and greet the Alpacas . Tiny hidden treasure. Definetly going back again .
