Avoid - dishonest and sneaky I have proof
Feb 2018
I’ve had the most despicable experience at this salon. Not only was the stylist incompetent but the salon has been terribly dishonest. To cut a long story short I went in there asking for a trim, with the first and foremost instructions of “I don’t want to lose my length” but wanted a trim. Ellie confirmed with me that it would be a good couple of inches - after she had finished I was shocked but she showed me the back with the mirror at an angle (it looked longer) so I believed the bit to my sides were my layers. It was when I got home my children were shocked and so was I - it turned out she had cut 10 inches off. I messaged frantically and the salon confirmed that after speaking to her that she had cut 3 inches. So I happily sent before and after pictures asking them to explain how this was 3 inches. They didn’t, instead they fobbed me off even after explaining how important my hair was to me as I have health problems (similar to a cancer patient losing their hair) it was a symbol to me. I explained that due to bad times and memories I couldn’t bear to look in the mirror and didn’t go out for a few days and asked if they could rectify it with hair extensions (even though I don’t like fake things) just to stop the horrid feelings. I woke up during the night in panics because of the painful memories. I also asked for vitamins. They lied about not doing extensions. They wouldn’t offer vitamins but said I could have a years treatment for a volumising product?? I looked into legal proceedings and was told I had a good case however it wouldn’t be a quick and simple process and as I had a neurological hospital appointment my mum and I decided that it wouldn’t be worth the stress as I would have to be strong. I had to accept the offer and what’s even WORSE is that they only provided me with 9 months after agreeing to a full years supply. Having spoken to an expert in that product they stated that it should be used for a consecutive 12 months without a break! I had divulged all my personal details and health problems and feeling defeated and desperate they used this against me as I don’t have the strength to take it further. They have violated their ‘goodwill’ offer by only providing 9 months and also lied about things in the salon. I have photos and screenshots of everything and would be happy to share. Also for those who know me they’ll know that I have put up with a lot in life and wouldn’t even bat an eyelid if this hadn’t affected me this badly. These people are meant to be in the business of making you feel better but they’ve put me back years and I’ve felt awful because of them, their incompetence and lies and whether I have health problems or not this should never have happened. I would think twice before coming here.

My first visit..great!
Feb 2019
My first visit to The White House proved to be a very nice experience. Greeted by a very friendly atmosphere, the staff were lovely. Experienced stylist was helpful and patient! Coffee, magazines and buzz of conversation all enhanced an enjoyable couple of hours. I left feeling relaxed and very happy with my hair, will definitely be returning. The salon offers a wide range of treatments, some of which I intend to try. Thank you ladies!

Good experience

I had a treatment with Emily today who was friendly and easy to talk too. She made me feel very welcome as this was my first appointment. She was very professional explaining the products used and the benefits they have. I felt she had a flare for customer service.g
I will definately be back.
The service was really good and the price too was good.

Never again !
Feb 2015 • Solo
On my first trip to this salon it was great, unfortunately my second visit was awful ! The new girl at the salon was from a village salon and boy I could certainly tell that after she got her back combing brush out!!
I paid an extra £11 for a hair treatment. This was something sprayed on my hair when wet and combed through. That was it.
I'd asked for body but had to have my hair blow dried with a hard paddle brush very roughly and then had to have my hair straightened before cut ? Then came the back combing brush !
I will never recommend this salon. I have very uneven chopped layers, its a good job my hair will grow again.

Good service to a new customer
May 2014 • Solo
I went to this salon and asked if they had a free appointment that day at lunch time -they were very accommodating and fitted me in. Received some good advice from the hairdresser, and was made to feel welcome. Really important for a first visit- staff were friendly and not snooty at all. Gave me half price for a first time customer, so wash, cut and blow dry was £17.50 with discount. I received an envelope with lots of goodies such as discount vouchers and a free hair mask. Nice touch - more salons should do this. I'm quite fussy about hairdressers usually and don't want to pay a lot in general. But this salon was great- and good value, plus good service. I will be back! Thanks for a positive experience!

Would never recommend this salon for a hair cut
Sep 2013
Dreadful hairdresser I was not impressed with my cut at all. I even had to cut my own fringe when I go home because it wasn't straight!

Happiest I've ever been with my hair...finally!
Dec 2012 • Friends
Always struggled to find the perfect hairdresser to struggle with my dreadful hair. But Claire and her gorgeous creative team are devine! Always creative always polite, charming and extremely accomodating when I am most difficult to need a short notice appointment(apologies girls) My sisters are also massive fans and the team are so diverse in characters and styles but so amazing at giving the best advice for anyone wanting their usual head of highlights or trim up or something more dramatic. Glad I got told to dipdye my hair black and red Ive had some lovely comments and I always will recommend the white house! Thank you for bringing back my confidence with my hair! Your all stars!

So friendly and a little gem in Deal
The white house is located just a stones throw from the main shopping area making it easy to find. However it is amazingly quiet and peaceful with some of Deal's most historic and beautiful buildings surrounding it.
I was apprehensive at first as the white house is a combined hair salon and therapy rooms, but my fears were quickly dissolved as the two therapists that were providing our group treatments were so friendly, very welcoming and genuinely happy to make our cause (my mothers birthday) the best ever. I appreciated the fact that on arrival coats were taken and refreshments offered. The choice available were great and you felt there was no time pressure. I can not say i have any thing bad to say about it . I think if i can driven to it as a newby (not being a Deal resident) i would have found parking near by a little confusing. But there is on street parking and local car parks are not far away.
I do not think is a venue that you bring need to bring anything special. Maybe a bottle of water post treatment would be good as the therapists recommend drinking water after having some treatments.
It was great value for money and so you could quite easily make a morning of after noon of it. Maybe with a group of friends all meeting up after treatments. We went on a Saturday, as that was the only time i could get down, but i would recommend booking early as the therapists do specialise in different things and would need careful planning if a group went, but they are happy to help organise this.
