After the exhilaration of walking from Freshwater Bay across Tennyson Down against a strong headwind, we found the old fort (National Trust or pay £7.50) which overlooks the Needles. The view of the needles id spectacular.

This is somewhere that I have always wanted to visit, we took the chairlift down to the beach an experience in itself decide when you get there if this is for you. The cliffs are fascinating, it has a pebble beach so sensible shoes recommended.
