I was expecting more so was a little disappointed. The Needles don't seem as big or impressive as I'd imagined and once you'd looked at them and photographed them there was little else to do as almost everything was closed. We had tea in the cafe, it reminded me of a transport cafe, not that there's anything wrong with those... More

The entire 4days was a joy even though the island shuts for Winter. We had fabulous weather and despite being shut we had access to Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House and Carisbrooke Priory which has an 'open doors' policy and was so welcoming. The Needles theme park was closed and deserted but that gave us more room to explore without... More

Took the family to the isle of wight, wanted to see the Needles and the attractions, all were closed except the gift shops. Don't bother going in the winter, even at the weekend.

This one should come with a health warning for the disabled and the hard of walking. So far as I know, it doesn't. And it should. Let me explain. We're on a one day whistle stop clockwise circuit of the IOW. On just about on every poster, on every postcard, in every brochure or things to see and do TV... More

Very attractive place, spend whole day on beach, cable car & fast boat ride. This is historic place for people who are interested in radio communication as 1sr fixed wireless radio was established here by Marconi and team. Will visit again.

Although most of the attractions are closed for the winter, there is enough at The Needles to while away a couple of hours. The walk along to the Needles Battery was beautiful - and several of us were entertained by a very tame fox who seemed to enjoy being photographed. The glass shop and sweet manufactory are both worth a... More
