We were recommended to visit to this place by some locals. I was stunned by how amazing it was. It is not a huge garden but you need to allow 2 hours or 3 if you want food and a walk to the wooded area...More

Although very much a plantsman's garden you can still appreciate the garden for its beauty and colour. Although October there was still colour in the borders many through dahlias and and interesting range of salvias. Definitely worth a visit for the autumn colour alone. A...More

A lovely garden with an interesting range of plants. Much of the garden was planted >100 years ago leaving solidly developed trees to admire. The tea-rooms is a great place to start, sitting on the verandah and enjoying the garden outlook.

Well worth the effort to visit this amazing property, for the brilliant gardens alone. Fabulous location. Wonderful varieties of trees and shrubs, meticulously maintained and labelled. Mobility scooter access was really good also.. Excellent cup of tea in the original family house.

We visited on a sunny day and wandered around taking advantage of the seats and benches to take in the garden and views. There is a good tearoom that also do light lunches and don't miss the walled garden.

Last visited about 10 years ago when the gardens were really good. But now looking very tired and neglected. Weeds in all the beds and generally un-loved. Need to get more gardeners to maintain upkeep. Also, seems to have lost its way in terms of...More

Something for everyone here, with longer walks leading away from the house and tearoom. The kitchen garden was the most delightful, for us, with acres of flowers and fruit.
