We were surprised at the size of the gardens and great value at only £6.25 each for admission. We began with a walk to the arboretum which has some wonderful views. After an equally great value lunch in the delightfully old-fashioned tea room we set off to explore the wonderful woodland walks, concluding our visit with a visit to the... More

Just outside the interesting and delightfully genuine market town of Kington lies this hidden gem. Don't expect formal, rigid design: these gardens meander through open lawns and sun dappled paths enfolded with trees and colourful shrubs. Take your time to stroll and enjoy the tranquility reminiscent of a more gentle past and do savour the delights of the quaint tearoom.... More

Lucky enough to have visited these delightful gardens on a glorious sunny day! Modest entrance fee of £6.50, Guide book £2.50. Well worth buying as a guide/ information booklet. Friendly helpful staff who explained how to navigate the various walks. A visit to the Kitchen Garden must not be missed Very impressive! Staff were happy to talk about the plants... More

Found this little gem of a garden near Kington. Absolutely wonderful setting in 90 acres of woodland and parkland.Just wish we could of spent more time exploring all the different parts of the estate although we did see a fair amount of it. You can finish off your wanderings by having a lovely cup of tea and a large helping... More

Went for lunch And a walk around the gardens, lovely old house. Ate lunch on the Veranda beautiful flowers and shrubs to view. Food ok. Service friendly. Walked around the gardens and impressed by the enthusiasm and friendliness of the gardeners. A very pleasant experience, resisted the urge to buy some plants on the way out!

A random visit as we were just passing. What a find. Set in 90 acres the gardens could easily take all day to explore. Good value entry £6 per adult. Lovely traditional tea room serving home made cakes. Ample parking. Located just outside Kington

We went with friends to look round and have a cup of tea so we're quite disappointed that due to the inclement weather, the tea rooms weren't open. Quite shortsighted in my opinion as quite a few other people came and went whilst we were there, so it wasn't as if we were the only visitors. Still beautiful as ever... More

We mentioned to one of the locals that we were planning a day out hiking on Hergest Ridge and they recommended we stop off at Hergest Croft Gardens Tea Room for a well earned cuppa at the end. I'm so glad we did! The house and gardens were so picturesque and looked stunning on the sunny afternoon we visited. The... More

This beautiful garden set in 70 acres is absolutely glorious and should most certainly be visited at the beginning of May when the azaleas and rhododendrons are out. If you are a tree lover, in particular acers, then this is the place for you. I have never seen so many different varieties of acer alongside some quite rare trees. The... More
