delightful

My niece and her boyfriend went with my wife and I for a lovely evening.

The paella was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly.

The wine from the vineyard was worthy of a few bottles and we didn’t hold back.

A lovely evening

Tiny in comparison.

This is a very small vineyard that will take you around 15 minutes to take a slow walk round. We visited on a day when they were barbecuing and the food was pretty good. Decent options with options to taste the wines.
Minute car park and with all the cyclists visiting, no room to sit.
Well signposted, but don’t be surprised if you don’t get parked.

A lovely afternoon

We went for the wine tour and it was excellent. Lovely atmosphere and very interesting. They make exceptional wine and other products. The wine sells very quickly.
The café is a lovely place to sit for a morning coffee and something that takes your fancy.
Don't miss an opportunity.

Amazing little find in the country side. Ideal after a country dog walk or just somewhere nice to go with friends for food and tea. Love this place and so far every one who I have brought has loved it too. Irthdays and baby shower is ideal place to hire, book a table.

Beautiful setting - well hidden
Sep 2018 • Couples
Me and my partner stumbled across this vineyard about 6 years ago whilst out walking a trail! We couldn't believe that we had never heard of this vineyard before, we have never seen it advertised despite living so close. We immediately checked out their website and for the next 6 years promised that we would go and visit! Well this year we finally got round to booking one of the meals/dinner options that they do. The setting is beautiful, lovely grounds, outdoor terrace with grape vines and fairy lights. Inside the restaurant was beautiful, all made of wood and using things such as ladders as shelves and places to hang fairy lights. The restaurant is very small and so you have to book in advance but be quick as they sell out so fast!! The food was delicious, we ended up going on a tapas evening. I could not fault one piece of that food, it was simply beautiful. I would recommend going to this place but only tell your close family and friends afterall we want to keep this little gem a secret!!

They also sell their own wine but unfortunately they had sold out by the time we got there which was unfortunate as it was one of the main reasons my other half wanted to go. But still that just means we need to go again!!

Beautiful, hidden gem!

Who knew we had a vineyard in West Herts?! We only found it a couple of years ago and we are so glad we did.
We love the cafe and vine-covered courtyard as a place to sit and relax on a Sunday or other leisure day. Staff are friendly and helpful - It can be busy though but that's because it is so lovely and different.
Buy a bottle or two of their various wines - makes a lovely gift.
We haven't done the vineyard tour but fiends have said it is well worth it. All round the Vineyard is beautiful, quiet (mostly) and tucked away and just a bit different.

Pretty Little Vineyard
Sep 2018 • Friends
After a couple of miles walking, we looked in at this pretty little vineyard for refreshments. Frithsden put on quite a few events, so it’s worth checking out their website. They stock a good range of soft drinks and wine for consumption on site and the afternoon tea with Prosecco is an absolute must!

We went at a quiet time for lunch with friends. Emma looked after us very well indeed. We enjoyed our food, and the ambience was peaceful and nurturing.

Lovely afternoon at a beautiful local vineyard
Aug 2018 • Friends
We visited to do the vineyard tour, wine tasting & lunch and had a lovely afternoon. Simon took us round the vineyard and shared his wealth of knowledge and a good sense of humour. We learnt lots and really enjoyed it.
The wine tasting was fab - the best wines were the ones from the vineyard which were sadly sold out but the other wines we tried were really unusual & interesting

Lunch was good and Natalie was very accommodating with my dietary requirements.

The experience was great fun and really good value for money - so glad we went . We will definitely be going back when the wine from this years harvest is ready .

Disappointing
Aug 2018 • Couples
Sadly, I can only give this one star. We were in the area for the weekend and searched on Trip Advisor for something to do and saw this place. On the website there was a BBQ and open weekend which we thought would be a great way to spend Saturday. We made a special trip out to the vineyard, however, when we arrived the car parking was shocking. People were double parked and parking in front of other cars!
On top of this, when we went to do the walk and wine tasting we were told that they didn’t have any of their own wine left... and that they didn’t do the sample tastings any more as “people wanted to taste too many and there were too many glasses to wash - so the owners decided against it!” (I mean, surely that’s what people do at a tasting session?)
We paid £2 to walk around a field. Which frankly needed a bit of care and attention.

To top it off, there was no BBQ and no food as all of the tables had been booked out. Not really the “open day” that was advertised on the website.

We left with no wine tasting and no food.

It seems like the only people looked after are those paying for the overpriced wine sessions, cheese tasting and afternoon tea.

Disappointed I didn’t get to see a British vineyard at work.
