Great fun Gruffalo Trail

A few of the play areas on the trail have been modified and were brill. We loved the Gruffalo trail - be sure to get the 'Gruffalo Spotter' app before you come. Always a good visit with much to do lasting the whole day. Open a lot earlier than we expected. We couldn't resist our first ice cream of the... More

Came here for a charity 10K run. I was quite impressed with the place, though the forest bits are modern planted rather than ancient woodland so it can appear a bit regimented and boring in places, especially in contrast to the nearby New Forest. There is a model steam railway, though you pay extra for that. The play trail looks... More

I have been coming here for years and now with kids of my own we love it!!! Today was our 1st trip back this year and you can see they have been working hard to make new things and maintenance in the park. The gruffalo trail is fantastic and so much fun. For the cost of the car park you... More

This is a simple concept yet a prize-winning idea, fresh air and things to do for all the family. Wide open spaces and walks, a train which goes in a loop around the park plus good food in the visitor centre.

We have visited on a number of occasions over the winter and have now bought a season ticket which allows us to take the car into park and walk from the car park. This is a lovely place to take our dog for walks along trails through the forest and around the lakes. Children are very well catered for as... More

We travelled some distance to get here. Family with three children. We are a serious biking family and travel the U.K. Trying new trails and loving the open air and all that our loverley Forests have to offer. The problem I have with this place is after travelling a long way and it's too cold for Picnic, we read that... More

Moors Valley Country Park is a lovely place to take children for a day in the great outdoors. The play trail is made up of several large wooden climbing frames on different themes and is great fun for kids of all ages (though some of the climbing frames are too tricky for younger children) and breaks the walk up brilliantly... Visited with grandchildren who thoroughly enjoyed the steam train (extra charge) and the play areas. Lots of space to explore and plenty to do. Was getting busy but there seemed to be plenty of space to cater for the crowds.

Recently went here with some friends with young children. I didn't realise how huge it was! There are so many things to keep children of all ages entertained. They have different trails to follow which have wooden playground parts along them, perfect to encourage little feet to continue to walk. There are lots of places to sit and eat a... More
