Lovely little museum. Something for everyone, my parents enjoyed the video about the area and my daughter enjoyed finding the chicks hidden around the museum. Nice shop useful for buying holiday gifts for friends. Only complaint is that it was hard to find as you would of expected the visitor centre for the new forest national park to be in... More

I popped in on my way out of the forest on the last day of my stay. Really just browsed the shop which was lovely and lots to buy although I didn't bc of luggage allowance. Looks like it has good info and historical references if you have more time to spare. Definitely worth a look.

The interactive parts my son thoroughly enjoyed making it another win. The visitor centre has information as you'd expect plus some nice... More

There is a short film about the forest and the ponies. A trail for the children and incredibly friendly staff on hand to inform you want is what. Very good introduction to the New Forest!

As well as being a very informative visitor centre this has an excellent free museum attached that is worth spending half an hour or so in.

A good stop over if you are visiting the forest for the first time. The staff are very well informed and very knowledgeable about the forest surroundings. There are also free toilets and a car park so good for a break to the main high rd too if you want to get some supplies or breakfast/lunch before you head to... More
