I was fortunate enough to be dropped off at Broadlands by my husband who took my boys off to Romsey Rapids! THe house is only open from 1.00- 5.00 during the week only, by guided tour only. I joined the guided tour of a beautifully refurbished house with about 7 other people and our tour guide was very friendly and... More

Our visit to Broadlands started with a warm welcome at reception followed by an introductory DVD that filled in the time until the guided tour started. There was complimentary free chilled water that was very welcome on a hot day. Our party of 4 was joined by a further three people to give a relatively small group. Our tour guide,... More

My partner and I took our friends to Broadlands House, as they had always wanted to visit. We had not been before, so we did not know what to expect. From the very start after enquiringly about disabled parking, which is closer to the house, the staff were very helpful. We were greeted at the door and made to feel very... More

The house is very recognisable as being the home of Earl Mountbatten of Burma, whose family still live there. Extended tour with interesting guides. The house is still very much a lived and much loved.Views over the river and parkland beyond. No catering facilities and only toilets are at the car parking area. I think the house is accessible after... More

This graceful manor house saw many changes since the Dissolution of Parliament in 1547. It has gone through many owners and structural changes to finish with a Palladian style mansion still privately owned and magnificently maintained. The grounds are one of the famous Lancelot 'Capability' Brown's designs which was finished by Henry Holland at the expense of the 2nd Viscount... More

Broadlands House is probably most recognisable as being the home of Earl Mountbatten of Burma. The house only opens for tours around July and August, so check the website for the exact dates for each year. Tours are for set times from 1pm Monday to Friday, so its best to book ahead to secure the time you want. Toilet facilities... More

We spent a delightful couple of hours visiting Broadlands on their extended tour. The web site said there are no tea rooms, gift shops etc. the toilets facilities are located in the car park. Really refreshing visit as a result. The house has very limited opening hours weekday afternoons and for a few weeks an extended tour is offered. This... More

Mostly this is all about the house and it was pretty interesting, particularly the fact that it is still very much lived in. The grounds are mostly parkland but the view from the front door of the river meandering past a few metres away is quite special. It has history with the Mountbatten family and was where Prince Charles and... More
