Had a wonderful meeting in the day and rounded off the day with a visit to the Lowry Theatre Had such good seats I thought but was disappointed with the legroom. I am only 5ft 4in and had trouble as we were in the first row of the upper circle. Show and performance was good.

My dad and I went to watch Eric Cantona for a question and answer session. Great venue. Not too big. Had an enjoyable afternoon even though initial reviews weren't good for the show. They changed the format which was spot on. Nice building with good amenities.

Attended for the evening show tonight. As ever a lovely comfortable theatre with helpful staff. The air con is a great idea. Seats well set out so you have a great view.

Lowry is a famous artist from the area. His gallery is located in the Lowry Theater complex. The artist captured the industrial feel of Manchester. Some of his art has the primitive feel and some is much more realistic. The complex is very modern. They are advertising for several upcoming performances.

Hais theatre have visited the Lyric Lowry Theatre many times now over last 4 years - last visit yesterday to watch Evita. We are always impressed with this theatre - they have a good range of productions to suit most peoples tastes. It is easily accessible, well organised for entry and exit, spacious, clean comfortable and all staff are always polite... A friend and I went to watch the Birmingham Royal Ballet perform Cinderella...It was superb! We had dinner before the performance at The Pier, which is the adjoining bar/restaurant. The food was delightful! The Lowry itself is a beautiful building set in a brilliant location opposite Media City, many restaurants and shops, great for getting out of the busy city... More

We go to the Lowry at least once a month - shows, plays, art, This is, without doubt, one of the nicest venues in the country. The staff are not your young 'can't be bovvered' people. They are more mature and really cannot do enough. The whole venue is so beautiful. You can look across towards Media City and it's... More

Always a pleasure to visit the Lowry though must remember that the front row circle seats are just a tiny bit cramped. This was an excellent production with a superb performance from Emma Hatton as Evita and the supporting cast and ensemble were all very good indeed.

theatre was beautiful, unfortunately the opera was not. Singing was good, but the story was poor. Not the best entertainment. The people next to us,left half way through, as the run down estate, it was employing as the state these children were living in, was not conducive to the story. The actors performed well, but could not get into the way... Visited on a Wednesday morning in March at 10am. Galleries did not open until 11am so we had a cup of tea in the excellent cafe and looked round the well stocked shop. The galleries of Lowry paintings are absolutely superb. The introductory video is useful to put them in context. Entry is free with a voluntary donation requested.
