I went to Central Museum today, it has an interesting display about local people during the war, from air force, army and navy. There is much of local interest about the local area, including old photographic equipment and natural history items, well worth a visit,...More

Between exhibitions, large spaces wasted. Not much history about Southend. Seemed starved.of cash. Could do with a cafe, not a destination. Would not take children there. Some exhibits too dark to see.

I took my two young children here during the February half term break. A very small but interesting museum. Great selection of artefacts. Currently displaying World War exhibition, very interesting, interactive and nicely displayed. Staff are friendly and helpful.
