We were lucky enough to visit on a day when the pier was open and the weather was dry. The 1.3 mile walk was leisurely and easy. At the end we had a drink and a snack as well as going in the RNLI shop....More

To see the pier is nice, to walk it might be even nicer. But to pay for this is one of the hypocritical ideas ever. One cannot really be serious in arguing the money would be used for maintenance, that's ridiculous. The borough council certainly...More

As the Pier is over hundred years old, it requires a vast amount of maintenance to keep a high standard of safety. The Pier does offer concession rates for disabled customers and their carers, customers over 60 and students. The Pier hosts a variety of...More

Southend Pier is the world's longest Pleasure Pier in the world at 1.3 miles long. The Pier hosts various events throughout the year, we are currently running our "Santa on the Pier" event.
