If one picture on a postcard could sum up an idyllic English Seaside destination it would have to be Southwold Pier. Decked out across the sea in the picturesque coastal town of Southwold, this pillared walkway has a magnetic attraction and something for everyone to enjoy! There's so much to do a whole day can drift by while you walk the planks and explore this historic icon. Please note: Our opening times are weather permitting and therefore can change.

Pier with a difference, so different to Brighton. Not full of horrible slot machines. Nice cafes and amusing games such as bash the bankers. Also dogs allowed access.

A nice pier with a variety of cafes, an arcade of unusual and funny slot machines, a water clock and a rather nice gift shop. A good place to go to get views of the coastline. Pay and display car park and public loos nearby.

We often take a family walk along this delightful traditional pier when on holiday in Suffolk. Our boys enjoy the unusual Tim Hunkin coin operated machines and Crazy Golf opposite the pier. Range of interesting pier shops with thousands of interesting plaques to read on...More

Dear Ps123456789, Thank you for your comments. The Under the Pier show is really popular and indeed an interesting twist on traditional amusements. Come back and see us again soon. Kind regards, Southwold Pier

This is a beautiful pier with a very English feel to it. Gift shops, quirky amusement arcade, cafè, chips, ice cream all the usual seaside stuff. Beautiful views of the town and colourful beach huts. If you only go once it’s worth the trip.

One of the best items used to be the under the pier show and the clock. The clock was broken and the Hunkin exhibits look a bit tired and are now a bit expensive.

Lovely little pier with some interesting shops and food places. Could do with a lick of paint but definitely a must do when on Southwold. Interesting mechanical clock in situ but unfortunately nwasnt running when we visited. Free entry.

Have been a few times and always enjoyed it. Some great entertainment with the clock and old fashioned amusements. Fab gift shops too which I can never resist. Fish 'n' chips top quality. Easy to find & park. Will definitely go again!!

Hi Kevin Apologies for the late response. All plaques that are placed on the pier stay up indefinitely so it will certainly still be there. We look forward to seeing you on your trip this Summer. Kind regards Peter
