If one picture on a postcard could sum up an idyllic English Seaside destination it would have to be Southwold Pier. Decked out across the sea in the picturesque coastal town of Southwold, this pillared walkway has a magnetic attraction and something for everyone to enjoy! There's so much to do a whole day can drift by while you walk the planks and explore this historic icon. Please note: Our opening times are weather permitting and therefore can change.

A good place to walk, nice safe walkways, great views from the end back down the beach on both sides. Several shops, mirrors, other bits and bobs along the pier too. Nice food at the start if you can wait for the service (as it's...More

We had an ice cream and a lovely stroll along the pier, our grandson loved his first time on a pier. He'd seen the pier on the children's program 'Grandpa in my pocket'

This is by far the best pier we have ever been too. The amusements are not the rip off type that have been put in so many others. It was one of the highlights for the children on our holiday, so much so they even...More

From the shops, to the clock tower, to the crazy 'under the pier show' this place is completely unique. I've been to Southwold every year since birth and we always visit the pier! And now our family own a piece of it, our plaque is...More

A choice of cafes/eateries on the pier . A very interesting mechanical clock which works on water running through various moving statues , containers , amusing to watch the operation of it.

When you first approach the pier it looks like dozens of others around England: gaming rooms, tea shop and restaurants along it's length. But when you get about half way along you come across the quirky and slightly bazaar amusement arcade made by a crazy-crafty...More

There is nothing like a walk to the end of a pier. Southwold Pier is a delight. The Heath Robinson Amusements are really very good. There are 2 shops selling a variety of seaside themed goods as well as art and craft produce. There are...More

I always enjoy a stroll down the pier. Make your way to the end and look back at beautiful Southwold - it's a perfect Instagram snap. Make sure you visit the under the pier show - quirky amusements!

Hi Kevin Apologies for the late response. All plaques that are placed on the pier stay up indefinitely so it will certainly still be there. We look forward to seeing you on your trip this Summer. Kind regards Peter
