If one picture on a postcard could sum up an idyllic English Seaside destination it would have to be Southwold Pier. Decked out across the sea in the picturesque coastal town of Southwold, this pillared walkway has a magnetic attraction and something for everyone to enjoy! There's so much to do a whole day can drift by while you walk the planks and explore this historic icon. Please note: Our opening times are weather permitting and therefore can change.

Take a walk down beautiful southwold pier, you will find so much to see! Delightful cafe/restuarant to have morning coffee, afternoon tea or lunch. Go to the quirky amusements, very different from your usual slot machines etc. Lovely gift shops for that something different to buy, with lots of childrens books, small gifts to buy. When you walk along the... More

Spent a long winter weekend with the family and enjoyed the delights of the Pier. The amusement arcade had plenty of games to offer the children including your usual 2p and claw machines. The staff were friendly and helpful. The gift shops offered festive gifts and were a delight to look around. Worth popping into The Clockhouse for one of... More

We are regular visitors to Southwold and every time we look forward to the pier. We also had fish n chips at the pier restaurant, the staff are always happy, welcoming and pleasant. Where else could you eat a white bait starter followed by cod and chips with the water lapping below and the gulls overhead? The fish was cooked... More

Lovely shops and cafes on this pier as well as great views. Today was very windy and cold so didn't stay too long but enjoyed my visit. Plenty of seating to just relax and watch the rolling waves. There were two braves surfers bracing the cold weather which was also nice to watch.

Whilst staying about 20 miles away we decided to give Southwold a visit and had a great day out. Sometimes sea side towns can be a bit hit or miss but had a lovely time here. There are several shops and restaurants/coffee shops on the pier itself which are worth a visit and is also only a short walk from... More

Having enjoyed a longer walk and a bite to eat in the Pier Restaurant we took a wander along the remainder of the Pier which has a couple of gift shops as well as another tea shop and the 'Under the Pier' attraction. Free to enter if offers some great views back to Southwold and up and down the coast... More

Took the family for a Christmas Day out. It's great to see a modern looking very well kept pier. Kids had a great time.

We love the Pier - the crazy machines - so inventive and funny - we always make guests put their hand in the dog cage or do the zimmer frame game. Fun little gifts shops, the cheeky fountain - a must visit!
