The gardens are pretty and well set out. But this is not £7 (for my pensioner mother) and £8 (for me) worth of value. It is too much money for too little. Suggested improvement: 1) Plant names and details about plants to be posted: when then they flower, habit, size, how fast they and how big they grow, best conditions.... More

On a sunny spring day, the gardens are stunning, lots of benches to sit and admire the lovely gardens, there is limited parking near the entrance as there is the areodrome too and you need to check calendar as lots events etc which can affect visit, and the full price is a little expensive for about an hour's visit, but... The day we visited was grey and overcast but that didn't detract from the beauty of the gardens. We visited them as part of a combination ticket with the Shuttleworth collection. We spent about an hour going round them - completing the trail from the mobile app along the way. I'd love to return on a nicer day to really... More

A tranquil and well kept garden with lots of interesting features suitable for adults and children alike. Spend a couple of hours exploring its lakes and bridges. There is a restaurant and brilliant childrens playpark on site and of course the Shuttleworth Collection should you be interested. When I was there, there were signs about no picnics in the garden... Originally created by the Ongley family and then improved by the Shuttleworth family this garden has recently been restored with a huge investment. Great for a day out or a special treat such as open air theatre.

We were lucky enough to be taken here by a friend on the hottest day of the year in August 2016. It was truly fabulous. Enchanting in fact, and we were lucky enough to be there the day of a wedding which made it seem magical. It is a wonderful place to go and get lost in. Even on a... More

This is one of my favourite places to visit, a beautiful garden with lots of space, winding pathways, woodland walks and stunning scenery. It was a slightly chilly and overcast day when I last visited (November 2016) but there was still so much to see. The trees were in full autumn colours, the grounds were awash with leaves of all... The gardens have been transformed after extensive regeneration work , new landscaping and building have improved the gardens . There is a cafe that serves hot and cold food , catering for most tastes . The trees are stunning as are the plants , there are trails to follow winding around the gardens and small woods . Insects , birds... More

Great little garden, very compact and beautifully laid out, including various little buildings, lots of benches, lakes, ornamental bridges and well labelled trees and shrubs. A delightful oasis of tranquility
