Having done most of the Munro's in Scotland, the West Highland Way and the Great Glen, I was so impressed by the Ring of Kerry, but the magnificent walking was not my highlight on my last visit to Ireland. I decided to visit Caherdaniel, Ireland...More
Myself my wife Phyll and our sheepdog Buddy had an amazing trip with John last Sunday it was one of the best days out I have ever experienced. Seeing Rissos, Common Dolphins and Minke whales as well as the fresh fish filleted and cooked by...More
It's a privilege to be able to go onto Skellig Michael considering that tours are regularly cancelled due to rough seas and only around 120 people are allowed to go on any one day.
We, like so many were unable to get onto a boat...More
I took a risk trying to do a Skellig tour last minute. I did check the main site at Portmagee and, as expected, all time slots were sold out. Thankfully, I stumbled across John O'Shea, and seeing that he left out of Caherdaniel/Derrynane harbor, I...More
Loved our trip from the beautiful location of the pier to Skellig on a sunny calm morning. John O'Shea the skipper made the trip. My little girl was in the wheelhouse on the way over while he made ginger tea for my other girl. They...More
Trip to Skellig from Caherdaniel with John O' Shea - absolutely brilliant. Skellig Michael is special and as the guides say 'unique' - you need to visit to understand - to see so much nature around you truly special. For me four hours out at...More
The boat trip to Skellig Michael was the highlight of our Kerry tour. Little Adventure, unique culture, breathtaking landscape and views, hundred thousand of birds, all in one trip: super! Our captain John O Shea took us safe to the island and back. We appreciated...More
First of all, Skelligs should be on all highlights list of Ireland, it is a definite must see attraction, and we are so glad we did it. We got a chance to feel the ocean(after all, we are on the island), to climb up the...More
Saw someone's review about upset they were about the length of the boat trip: my only thing to that is, duh? Skellig rock isn't exactly close and if a boat breaks down, can't really expect that to happen so your luck just sucks. Get over...More
The day started off fine, arrived at the pier around 9.15, had agreed a time of 9.30 with John originally but he texted me around 6am to say boat was leaving at 9am, luckily I was awake so told him we would make it as...More
It is not a tour. You catch a prebooked boat to Skellig Michael. The cost in Summer 2015 was €60 .Its a self guided trip when you get to the rock but there are 3 well informed staff there to answer any queries you may have.
