To say the lake is huge is an understatement! It's the largest coastal lagoon in India! We were 3 of us including my daughter and she had a great time! You need to buy tickets at the counter (pls keep exact change!). You can either pay a little extra and get a boat to yourself or pool a boat with... More

Chilika Lake holds the dignity of being the largest coastal lagoon in India. People from far and wide get attracted to this place to watch the birds (both local and migratory) and dolphins. The lake has an island which houses Goddess Kalijai temple. The place is a heaven for nature lovers and bird watchers. You could spot several species of... More

A memorable 4 hour boating...seen dolphins..enjoyed the seafood available at seamouth..thrilled to see the separation of pearls from sea oysters..don't know the the originality of moonstones, pushyarag, corals shown by them...no lifejackets in boats

A boat ride on the lake is worth it. In winter months it should be fascinating to see lot of birds also. Plenty of boats with carrying capacity starting from 6 is available. The service is managed well and the boatmen are nice and courteous. Boat ride takes to sea mouth, dolphin view and red crab island over a period... More
