A buzzing place in the heart of city

Our hotel was in police bazar, so we had a good time roaming & shopping. A nice market with variety of things to buy...:)

It is main market place of Shillong. There is no specility in the market apart from few local items, which are available in most most the tourist places in shillong. Great shopping stop at this corner of the country in the meadows of hills it's a center of everything one would like to search for from ethnic items to western outfits it's all in one place in cheapest rates. Great experience.

We went from delhi and in the evening you can't visit any tourist spot. There are a lots of shop in that area but the price of each and every item are very costly. Majority of shops are from branded company so you will not get to much option to get and buy local and traditional items.

This place is like central Dadar market (If you are from Mumbai, you would know what I am saying) Very crowded There is a small mall with a couple of restaurants like KFC, Subway etc. that would give a break from regular North Indian food you have been having, so you could visit this for fast food But, its absolutely... Police Bazar spreads far and wide over a certain area, and isn't specifically just a mall or strip. It winds down and around, up through alleys and hills.
