Great cave experience. But ensure that your nuts and bolts are tight and ready for some twists and turns.

One needs to enter the caves from one side and exit from the other after a fairly tough up-down-narrow passage-squeeze through places. A bit scary for senior citizens like us. But really worth it. If you have any knee trouble or a backproblem, please avoid. But you really get a sense of satisfaction once you exit from the other side.

Do note that the cave mentioned in most reviews here relate not to Mawjymbuin cave but another cave near Cherrapunjee. The actual Mawjymbuin cave is at a distance of about 80 km from Cherrapunjee. It is quite close to Mawsynram instead. The small cave has a set of stalactites in the shape of a shivling. There's not much else to... More

Mawjybuin cave not a cave it's a long path. It is a perfect cave for adventure lovers. It's not much far from shillong. More than two ways you can out from cave. So you can try.

very interesting spot. these natural caves gives you one of those discovery channel feel, not for people who are claustrophobic, some parts of the cave are really narrow. there is a 50rs entry ticket, but its one of a kind experience in India. The popular cave is well lit and attracts a lot of tourists. If you are brave enough... More

A different experience... and a very interesting one...walking through the caves. Wear good walking shoes... as it is a bit of a climb up .. and you need to be able to crawl through the caves in certain places... may not be very feasible for the aged... but if you are able, then definitely worth a visit.. you shall enjoy... I've been to a few caves around India.. Araku in vizag and all but this one is very different. It's an awesome experience for those who like adventure... Crawling through stalactites and stalagmites is different crawly experience. It's a mix of Vietnams marble mountains and the rocky structures of badami. Heheheheheh its fun. It's a lifetime experience. If you're able... More
