a mixed collection of north east memorablia & artefacts, spread over 7 floors. Not very systematic or comprehensive, but very entertaining. The museum staff are polite & helpful, which is unusual in India. There is a play area for small children.

Please don't with high expectations, then you would be disappointed. After seeing that it is ranked #1 in TA, we expected to see some thing different from a regular museum. Unfortunately for a non-museum lover like me, it was all the same.

it is in 7 floors older can use lift directly to 7th. can walk on skywalk easily to have an aerial view of shilong. each floor is worth visiting with difff theme. its restaurant is not liked by us.

This is the place to visit to get inputs about history of all the North East states.It has about 7to 8 floors each floor giving insights about culture,,traditions and about imminent people, religions etc.. top most floor you can have a lovely view of shillong.city..

The charges for camera is Rs. 100, and it is advisable to carry one to capture the wonderful artefacts in the museum.
