Rani Durgawati Sangrahalaya(Museum) is one of the best place to watch ancient statues. This place is located in the heart of Jabalpur and you can pay maximum 10 bucks from Jabalpur Railway station to reach this place. Lots of ancient statues and art forms including coins are also available in this museum. "Kala -Vithika" is the exhibition hall for artists... More

While you visit the museum the con collection section is world class. It is the museum of the central India where large collection of coins are displayed. It is good place for the historians to study and to do research work. The other sections are also interesting. GOOD PLACE TO GIVE 2 -3 hours for detailed visit. Mani Deep Dutt

There are lots of old ages sculptures shown in this museum with the artifacts of Rani Durgavati. At outside also there are some of the sculptures associated and fixed. And when you entered it takes time to see the sculptures and understand it. This museum closed on Mondays.

Small museum having limited number of items. I don't think you can find many items of your interest. But, still, I enjoyed this place. Unique items you cannot find anywhere else such as display of the life of local tribes, important archeological findings, Rani Durgawati figure, sexy Shiva sculpture and so on. I appreciate their efforts.

Great place to know the history of jabalpur. But due to lack of promotion of the museum not many people come to visit it. A huge park is also next to it.

It is museum situated in center of Jabalpur city at a corner of well known park, Bhawartaal Park.It houses a fine collection of Sculptures, Inscriptions & Prehistoric Relics. A huge statue of famous warrior, Rani Durgawati on an elephant is located at the center of this park. The museum is dedicated to the memory of Gond Queen Durgawati.

Its a fine collection of sculptures and coins from all ages. The sculptures are well maintained. Coins have however blackened with age and its difficult to make out anything. For a history buff or for students of art and design, its a good place to visit. The museum also has many publications and plaster of paris replicas of many sculptures... More
