Do not forget to visit Bhuvaneswari Temple after visiting Kamakhya Temple. It is just 1 km top of Kamakhya Temple. Very calm, quiet and holy place. The bird's eye view of Brahmaputra river is marvellous from the top of the hill.

This temple is about 1 km uphill from the Kamakhya temple and you can hire a Maruti omni van for Rs 50 to and fro. It is very less crowded as compared to Kamakhya temple and you can have a darshan in just 5 mins. Do visit for some lovely views of Guwahati from the temple boundary.
