This is the ideal kind of beach - white sands, clean surrounding, trees lined up all around, shaded spaces & benches to rest & lifeguards. Outside the beach are several restaurants, clothing stores, vendors selling fruits, chaat & tender coconut.
The beach is popular for watching the sunset, so evenings are crazy busy. As I wanted to avoid the crowd, I visited in the morning when there are less people & feels really good to walk from one end to the other peacefully.

Arrived mid morning and was pleasantly surprised by how clean the arrival carpark and parking area were.
The beach is likewise free of the usual pollution that occurs widely in the Andaman Islands.
The sea is wonderful for swimming but, as there’s no coral, not so for snorkelling.
The tide was going out and it exposes lovely, gently sloping sand. The backdrop is forest right down to the beach- I saw many birds, including fish eagles.
The beach has no water activities to disturb the calm and all the Indians bathe together in one tiny part leaving 90% of the beach empty.
There are a number of small cafe / restaurants just by the parking area which serve delicious, inexpensive meals.

I have been to beaches all around the world and rate them. This beach is now #1. I first experienced it from my hotel barefoot which is right in front of randagargh beach. The sunset was different all 3 nights I spent here, pinks ,oranges, light blues, reds all reflecting off the beach.
Now! For the beach during the daytime. The beach is utterly breathtaking, it clean, clear and a perfect blend of waves and calmness plus the temperature was perfect
I stayed out here for 8 hrs both days.
Definitely walk to the lagoon on the right side of beach , almost a different scenery and walk to the left side as well . I saw different colored crabs and birds too. I love this beach and cannot get over how beautiful it is. You can see why it was voted best beach in Asia and #7 in the world

Radhanagar Beach is a better beach than Elephant Beach though the activities are not the same in both of them.
It seems far more a relaxed sunset kind of a beach with better accessibility, parking space, eating options and slightly better than Elephant Beach facilities for toilets and change rooms.
We spent upto 3 hours at this beach playing in the waters and walking around. Despite the holiday crowd we had decent space for ourselves and did not face issues getting to and away from Radhanagar Beach.

We were apprehensive going to this beach as it was much visited by all the travellers, could be crowded etc., But to our surprise, even though there were many people, it still felt a nice place to be.
The sand is soft and pure; water very good.
Found many couples busy with photo shoot by professionals.
Very calming and serene surroundings. Must visit place. Don’t be taken aback by the crowds you see at first.
There are many eateries out side the beach and also souvenir shops. Even though the shopping is expensive in this area compared to other places, food is at a reasonable price for a tourist spot

Simply .... SPECTACULAR in every sense. Wonderful beach, lush vegetation, colorful birds... Guaranteed baths in a beautiful sea. During the day tranquility and silence... At sunset great excitement... a sea of people crowds to watch the sunset... and... you wonder from the end come all those people ..

Stunning. Clean and pristine beach. Edged with tall trees, bushes and sparing mangroves. Long clear stretch of beach edged with rocks at the extreme end. The hues of the water are unbelievable. It’s known for its sunset views but we missed them as it was very cloudy during our stay there. The beach makes for some gorgeous take back clicks.

Beautiful beach with amazing tides. This is nust place for Island trip. People mostly visit this place for sunset, however I liked it all the way..The area has changing room, locker room etc however its too rushy after sunset to get place to change. As all washrooms get occupied. So pls try to wear swim suits and wrap yourself up with a towel to reach the back hotel.
Enjoy the beach at havelock.

One of the best beaches in Andaman and in Havelock. It's quiet calm though crowded but for personal it's the best beach. We did photo professionally done and surprised with out come. Changing rooms, lockers, parking, some food stall are nearby. Even after sunset beach lighting put more charm in its beauty.

Will bsnl prepaid effective at port blair ,Havlock or Neil Island? How to contact for auto Cab from Kolkata to these places?
Written 7 May 2022
Bsnl works the best in Andaman.
Followed by Airtel.
Autos are available on the spot in Port Blair.
Cabs and autos have fixed rates between 2 places in Andaman. ( they don't operate km-wise)
Cabs you can google Or ask the hotel to help.
In Havelock/Neil, scooty is the best option.

How is the situation now ? I am planning to visit in early December.
1. Is 10 days quarantine still mandatory ?
2. Are the restaurants open till late night ?

What about the crocodile situation there? Even though saltwater crocodiles aren’t likely to swim in the open sea Lauren Failla got half eaten by a croc while snorkeling near that beach in 2010.

1.Any idea if there are any restaurants that are at walking distance to tax exotica located near radhanagar beach?
2. what is the cost per person for the boat from portblair to this havelock island for return journey?
Written 8 July 2019
I had booked a package with Sinclair Hotel group which included our stay in Port Blair for 03 nights (including breakfast+ lunch or dinner) and two nights in Havelock Island. Sight seeing including North Bay Island and cruise (Macruz) was included. The food in both the hotels was perfect so we did not have to look for food outside. But to try food outside we did go to a sought Indian restaurant for pure veg food, which was equally delicious.

Hi, I am planning for the following travel itinerary in Andaman:
Day 1: Reach Port Blair in late afternoon. Planning to see sound and light show at the cellular jail in the evening. Then retire for the night.
Day 2: Take the morning cruise at around 9:45 a.m. to Havelock Island. Enjoy the beach and stay there for the night. If possible wanna go for the elephant beach.
Day 3: in case, it is not possible to cover elephant beach the previous day, can I cover it on next day early morning provided I have sufficient time to catch the afternoon cruise back to Port Blair?
Day 4: Visit to limestone cave through the Bartang forest and back to Port Blair in the evening.
Day 5: Return to Mumbai.
Will this itinerary be covered in a tour operator's package?
Written 9 April 2019
Elephant beach can be accessed via ferry or trekking.either way it takes time and I think it better if u keep it for day 3.enjoy kala patthar and Radha nagar on day 2. Can add on scuba diving also.
Hope this helps.
