Our family had come to visit Delaware for the downtown shopping and eateries. Our four year old grandson wanted to play at a park, so Google searching led us to Blue Limestone Park. Visiting in late November did not provide much in the way of scenery, as the leaves had all fallen. We were there for the playground facilities. Typical swing sets, climbing sets and other contraptions were all there. The park was clean. Restrooms, however, were closed and locked. We had to leave earlier than we wanted because of the locked facilities.

Didn't stay long because there was no shade and no tables to use nor any restrooms. Nice they have two different areas for dogs.

I won several home run derby contests at this park in the 80's...... I just revisited the park today!!!!... I parked my car, walked around the park, and felt like I was transported back into the 80"s..... it was great..... Delaware is a great little town with lots of ambiance and character!!! I work in this town a lot!!!!! Get to Blue Limestone to usher in a needed respite and sanctuary from the the real world!!!!!! A neat, very tiny, park!!!!!!!!!!

It was a beautiful day so hubby and I got on the tryke to find someplace new to explore. Although the park is listed at 500 W. William St, there didn't seem to be access there. Instead we rode toward town and turned at the stoplight on a one way street to get into the park area. The area was well maintained, we passed workers that were cleaning and mowing the area. There were only a few cars there, but you could hear the happy voices of the children playing in the play ground. There's also a great area for fishing where you could sit or stand. I'll be back when the leaves turn, it may be very busy on the weekends, but it lets its beauty show through.

This is a nice little park with public fishing that you'll never know exists unless you Google it. The park and quarry pond is in town but hidden and you'll drive right by it unless you know the 2 streets that get you there. I literally lived right beside it but have never fished the quarry, but they do have a nice park and playground for the kids. Very family friendly!
