Monticello III herself was a bit more weather-worn than the photos on line, but she held up for our ride which we thoroughly enjoyed. A quiet ride due to it being horse-drawn by a pair of percherons draft horses. Our guide was informative and seemed to know a lot about the Erie Canal history as well as canal boating history... This ride has helped to preserve some of the historical significance of the Erie canals of the 1800's. Guides on the boat answer questions and provide a lot of facts from the time period. Very relaxing 45 minute or so ride where a lot can be learned.

We love taking the canal boat ride each year. It really transports you back to a different era. The person giving the tour is well educated about the canal era.

I had found this attraction online and was very interested in visiting. It was a very nice relaxing ride headed by two beautiful horses. The gentleman who gave the tour was very knowledgeable and he was also very good with teaching the children all about the canal boats.

Love the ride and the history behind the canals. A great price for the amount of history you get. It was entertaining for our entire family. We would definitely do this again.

Informative ride along the old canal. There was no set narrative but the guides were knowledgeable and answered all questions.

All guides where very knowledgeable about the canal and how it operated during the 1800's. The trip was very smooth and relaxing without the sound of engines. The horses looked like they where we'll taken care of.

Fun little boat ride. Price is fair. Workers are very nice and knowledgeable. It's horse drawn which you don't see much anymore so that's cool.

All of us that were on that boat work and travel with the carnival from March to October. So this was very enjoyable, relaxing, peaceful. Tom and his crew (and his wife) invited anyone that's working at the fair this week to come for a little cruise. Tom and his wife had little snacks to eat and cold refreshments. It... More
