Hard to believe there are falls inside the 270 loop. We enjoyed viewing Hayden Falls. It’s a small walk from the nature preserve parking lot. Probably not even 1/4 of a mile. The steps down to the board walk is probably the most strenuous part of the walk but if your in decent shape it’s not a big deal. The viewing area was very slippery in February so be careful it’s worth your time to view these falls if your in the Columbus OH area.

We went in Late February. The parking lot was more than crowded and hard to navigate, with people fighting over parking spots. The bridge was VERY slippery and many people were sliding and falling.

Nice flow of water over the falls due to recent rains. Very impressive. Short but easy walk to the falls. Actual visit in May 2019

We stopped at Hayden Falls while passing through Columbus. In the summer, there wasn't much of a waterfall, but it was a pretty little gorge and unexpected right in Columbus. There's a small parking area on Hayden Run Road just west of Scioto River. Stairs lead down from the parking area to a short boardwalk trail that leads through the gorge to a viewing deck of the waterfall. I'd like to visit again in the spring or some time the water is flowing more.

This was a nice, quick stop on our trip to Columbus! The walk down to the waterfall wasn’t bad at all. Definitely recommend if you want to see a pretty waterfall and don’t want to hike for a long time.
