We had to book a time to get a tour. Each ticket is about $4 and we waited in the "lobby" with about 14 other people (tight space). The factory is one big room with about 6-8 machines and 2 workers. You listen to how each part of the process is done but because of safety issues you don't really... More

While on a Mystery Bus Trip, we had the pleasure of visiting the American Whistle Corporation. I know, how fun could it be to visit a whistle factory? It was actually a really neat experience to learn how a whistle is made. If the school I teach at was closer, I would definitely take make kiddos. After our tour, we... More

Small but powerful. The 9 staff at American Whistle Corp make over a million whistles per year! Book the tour to get your reservation, $4 entrance fee, whistle at the end. Also seen in "how's it's made"

My family had a wonderful time touring the American Whistle Corp. during a trip to Ohio. Very informative... We had no idea what all goes into making a whistle! The tour was extremely interesting detailing every aspect of various types of whistles they make. At the end of the tour we all received a whistle. Very nice!

I took my two young daughters on this tour. It's very small but so interesting. The owner is very informative and quirky. He interacted well with everyone and answered everyone's questions. You need to call ahead for reservations because they only give tours to 15 or more people at a time. They will combined groups. My daughters loved picking out... More

Found this on the factorytourusa.com website and is the last brass whistle factory in US. Family run operation with tour onto factory floor with a "free sample" at the end. Popular with school groups and kids loved the whistle (and accessories avail for purchase) at end of the tour. Only downside was kids continual interest in testing their whistles in... More

The American Whistle Company was a great place for a group tour. We saw these American Classic Whistles proudly being made in the USA. At the end of our group tour, each person received a whistle.

We stopped with a motor coach - taking in about 41 adults. The tour was very informative & as one review noted - business & marketing, manufacturing process & advantages to carrying a whistle were covered. I would not take small children through the tour if you can't or are unwilling to control them. They have a certain area for... More

Tour by owner was fantastic. My husband rated it as one of our best while in Columbus, informative and humorous. As a mechanical engineer he loved visiting. Owner actually gave us some tips on making our visti to the area even more special. Great for all ages!

Very interesting tour! They are a bit persnickety about making sure there is a minimum number of people to take a tour, so you definitely need to call ahead first. We enjoyed the tour and the owner is very animated and funny. He interacts well with the kids. The $4 you pay for the tour gets you a "free" whistle,... More
