The name is a misnomer. The exhibits are usually more "art" than "craft". It is a one room gallery of art by mostly Ohio artists. They usually have 4-5 exhibits a year. There is a research library and they offer workshops for all ages and levels throughout the year. If you have ever been to Winterfair, sponsored by the Ohio... More

This is a very small museum. Basically one room. But the glass exhibit was beautiful. I just expect more when you say you are a museum. Seems to be in a weird location as well. Would have loved to see more featuring Ohio artists. Not worth trip if out of your way. Free

Great place to go look at art crafts and to shop in the shop for gifts and stuff for yourself. Like to go a few times a year

I had the pleasure of visiting the Ohio Craft Museum during the past spring's Ohio Designer Craftsmen’s 33rd annual juried members’ exhibition. The work was incredible: wood, glass, metal, fiber of all sorts. The imagination behind many of the pieces makes me really aware that the lines between so called "fine" art and so-called "craft" are blurry and artificial indeed.... More

My wife is an artsy crafty sort so I thought it would be interesting to check out the Ohio Craft Museum on a recent trip to Columbus. Parking and admission are free, which is a good thing because I would have demanded my money back, I was that disappointed. I expected ceramics, wood and leather working, jewelry, quilts, soap, bric... More

What a strange and wonderful place this craft museum is! It's small enough see everything--and then there's the extraordinary gift shop. Just stop in there if you're looking for a special gift for someone; there's no admission charge.

Exhibitions vary and gift shop has exceptional merchandise. It is a little gem in Grandview, but maybe not advertised as widely as it could be.

I discovered this gem in Grandview when I was looking for summer camps for my daughter. They host a great summer series of morning and afternoon sessions for kids ages 7 and up. The upstairs features a gallery highlighting the best of Ohio crafts with many of them even for sale.

I bought some pieces from this group at the Christmas Arts and Craft show at the convention center. They are really lovely so that I will make an effort to visit their home site when I am back in Columbus.

We stopped late on a Saturday afternoon at this modest-sized museum near Grandview Heights to see the fabric art show. There were some exceptional pieces and some that were way out there - like the human hair cape. The staff was friendly and accomodating but we didn't get the chance to explore more than the rotating exhibit.
