While it is called a bike path, it is used by everybody. Strollers. Dog walkers. Kids running and not paying attention. Walkers 3-4 across so nobody can pass. Don't get me wrong. The path can be used by many, but everybody needs to follow the rules of the path. Dogs on the path are the worst as one tried coming... More

It's easy to be distracted by all the sights along the Olentangy while you're trying to get your miles done. Some of the areas once downtown are better reserved for casual riding and not higher speeds or high intensity training. The hills and inclines are well planned and you will enjoy being able to ride in downtown as they do... More

Columbus (and the suburbs) isn't always the best place for biking - lots of places don't have safe bike lanes. The path is great though, so nice to have a safe and scenic way to get around if you don't want to go by car.

Don't know how long this has been here, but the path is great. Totally enjoyed walking on the path next to the river. Saw dams, geese, ducks, people fishing, wetlands, and conservatory areas. Had a great time.

Was one of many out enjoying the paved trail on a spring weekend. Did not have time to do entire 13 miles but I imagine that would be a nice ride. It compares very favorably to other trails in Ohio I've been on or the Platte River Bike trail in the Denver CO metro area.

When I moved to Columbus and needed to find new places to run, friends recommended the Olentangy Bike Path. It was a great recommendation and I have logged many miles on the OBP. Weekends it gets quite busy with all kinds of foot, stroller, and bike traffic. Most of it is off roads though there's a stretch through Columbus where... More

this is great place to ride. Safe, with well marked paths, road in good condition. You can go all the way to Worthington, Ohio from downtown, with a minor part through Clintonville on city streets.

Stayed at Hampton Inn near OSU. Planned a late afternoon into evening walk for exercise and travel sleep. Started on Trail by walking through a portion Union Cemetery (the portion on the East side of Olentangy River Road) to join the Trail near a bridge over the River. Went North for a while to Clinton–Como Park then doubled back over... More

Great bike path! Currently the trail end at the Hills Market is closed due to some construction on 270 but you can pick it up at Thomas Worthington High School. The trail is clean and paved. It follows the river most of the time which is pleasant.

A well maintained, long trail that extends from the northern suburbs through the OSU campus and on into downtown. The trail sometimes uses city streets, but not major arteries. It goes through parks where water and restrooms are available.
