Sorry to say but this exhibit was moved to make way for improvements along the Scioto Mile. It still is not known if it will come back to downtown or not.

I've visited the Santa Maria Columbus two times. I visited the first year it was open to the public in the late 1980's. The Santa Maria Columbus is a replica of the original Santa Maria in the explorations of Christopher Columbus. The vessel is small...More

The ship has been removed to enable the city to put in the Scioto mile walking park which is a very nice addition to the downtown attractions. They may bring it back or put it in another location. You may want to check before driving...More

Just a fun thing to walk through if you have a few minutes and are interested in seeing it. Nice reproduction gives a perspective on what the Pilgrims risked crossing the ocean.

Fun for inspiring awe into young children. The area around the Santa Maria have progressively changed into decent walking space to explore the waterfront in Columbus. Teenagers might get bored, especially if they were brought several times as kids.

It has been removed and is in dry dock somewhere. The latest news is $1 million is needed to repair it and get it put back into the rive. Things are not looking good for the replica. If you are looking to see it, don't...More
