This museum is a gem. Permanent collections are elegantly presented with excellent lighting, appropriate spacing between paintings and other displayed items, comfortable, relaxing spaces for viewing. There is a lot of very neat new stuff that the children enjoyed - especially the fantastic Artlens gallery,...More

The Cleveland Museum of Art is a fantastic museum! We went to the Jazz (1920’s era) exhibit , it was very nicely presented. It illustrated the extravagance & Art Deco design of the time. I believe the exhibit is ending soon, however there is plenty...More

You can't say enough in praise of this world-class cultural institution. We never get tired of viewing the permanent exhibits; always something new to find. Some highlights are the medieval Christian art, the Chinese porcelain (it's hard to believe such flawless pieces are often more...More

We really enjoy this museum. It continues to grow and expand in remarkable ways. We are members and enjoy the special exhibits, the movies and programs. A first class experience.

I had only about three hours to explore the museum. I started in the West Wing with the Asian galleries, then ended in the East Galleries with the Contemporary and Expressionism. That was my favorite. I wish I had been able to see more and...More

If you visit Cleveland this is an absolute must place to see. Amazingly it's free and the art collection is huge and very impressive. It's a beautiful old building with a lovely modern addition. I was really impressed by their collection of American art.

We took the Lolly The Trolley tour on our first day in Cleveland, and our tour guide, a former art teacher, referred to the CMA as "a gem of Cleveland's art district." And honey, she ain't kidding. I've only ever been to the St. Louis...More

I agree with the two other responses. 2 hours minimum, but you could spend all day if you get food or just want to sit in the magnificent atrium and watch the world go by. Also it depends on how much you read descriptions... More

We almost always park on Martin Luther King, down the hill from CMA. Along MLK parking is free. This is not a good choice if snowy or rainy, but beautiful because you can walk by or look back at the Wade lagoon.
