If you are coming to Amish country for the first time, start here! An excellent place for anyone to better understand and appreciate the Amish and Mennonite world and culture.

It was very interesting to learn about the differences between the Amish and Mennonites. The circular mural wall that was hand painted was beautiful and each section you could read the story behind it that was on a pedestal. Glad we went.

This was the start of a great journey into history. Even people who don't like museums are finding this one great eyeopener. Loved the painting and tours the souveniers are well priced. Lovely helpful people, no question is left unanswered.

We went to look at an old Amish schoolhouse & a barn that was built by Amish & held a covered wagon & 2 buggies. It was very informative & the gentlemen that did the tour & told us all about the cyclorama were Amish....More

The people working there were very knowledgeable. We toured schoolhouse and barn. It was very interesting. Then we took guided tour of the mural. It is beautiful and the story it tells very interesting. Should make this your first stop.

We stopped in and visited the Heritage Center on our trip to Amish Country. We learned a lot about their heritage. I recommend stopping in. it truly helps you to understand their culture.
