Grown a lot over the years

We traveled from Florida, determined to find some snow for my daughter's birthday. We ended up at Mad River Mountain and loved every second!! Although we are clueless rookies, we were totally at ease because of the friendly staff and low-stress atmosphere. We arrived at about 7:30 on Friday night and had fun tubing until 11 PM. We skied the... More

Our first visit to Mad River Mountain. My kids are 12, 10, and 6. The ticket line took about 20 mins and a kind lady in line showed us how to put on our tickets. There was no direction about what to do or where to go. We dressed in the car bc we saw everyone else doing that. There... More

I grew up going to Mad River to ski. It's been a long time, but I'm now starting to take my kids there. There are a lot more trails, which is nice, but I've mostly been stuck on the training hills. The new lodge is nice. By nice I mostly mean it has a much better layout and more space.... More

this place is great for families and people of all ages. skiing seems to be enjoyed by all. found the food and beverages to be somewhat pricy. would recommend bringing your own. have gone here quite a bit and the new lodge will be nice someday, but I miss the nostalgia and charm of the old one.

We try to get to mad river every week to snowboard. The staff is great, facilities are top notch, and it's the best skiing/snowboarding venue in Ohio! Our kids love the friendly instructors, and we love the well groomed slopes! And they have a fantastic military discount!

I was part of a group of 8 to go tubing at the Avalanche Tubing Park on a Thursday evening. We elected to come here because of a family special they offer - $50 for 4 people. We have another tubing park closer to us, but we thought the deal was worth the drive. However, when we arrived, we were... More

We took our girls, ages 12 & 16, skiing for the first time. While my husband has skied numerous times, I had only been 1 time before, so the girls and I signed up for the "never ever" group lesson. Ski instructors were all very patient and helpful. The young man who worked with us was great, helping the girls... More

Manufactured snow trails with lots of bumps for flying high fun! If possible, go on a week day as the weekends are quite busy! We had to wait in long lines. We were able to go down 7 or 8 times in the 2 and a half hour time limit.

This resort is where i learned to ski back in the early 70s. MRM has gone thru so many improvements and is now #1 of the ski resorts in Ohio. Has man made snow due to weather conditions in Ohio, but is always kept groomed. Terrain park is very well maintained. Lost the original dining and kitchen building to a... More
