We really enjoyed the trip to Victor Harbour and back again. Very knowledgeable volunteer staff, lovely views of the beach/coast.

after having pre-purchased a Heritage Experience tour ticket from the Goolwa Info Centre, I didn't expect to encounter any issues at any of the 3 attractions. However, this particular attraction had issues with the 'pass' that was printed, insisting on removing the train page from our printed documents. There was a problem with this, in that the horse drawn tram... More

I have not been on the Cockle Train since i was a kid but while we were over from Perth we decided to take our two year old son on the train for his first experience. He absolutely loved it. The staff were excellent and very helpful. We didn't take a pram on board but other people did. The carriages... More

Absolutely recommend the cockle train. We boarded at Goolwa and took the return trip to Victor Harbor with lunch and a walk around the Harbor. A good value trip with great views of the coastline. A huge congratulations to the volunteer crew who maintain this for each and every one of us.

The Cockle Train is always a big hit with the grandson. Old style puffing billy with carriages from the 1930s. Really shows how the standards have changed over the decades. Great trip with sensational views

Foe train buffs this is excellent value. Feel the atmosphere of the way WW1 recruits would have felt as you travel in coaches of that era. This train journey is suited for all ages.

We boarded the SteamRanger railway train in Goolwa and took a round trip ride to Port Victor and back. The train is run by volunteers - and unfortunately the sound system is very poor; we could not understand the narrative provided as we rode. The scenery is great! Part of the track runs right along the beach, and it runs... More

An interesting afternoon travelling from Victor Harbor to Goolwa on the oldest railway in Australia. Unfortunately this day the steam train was not running, but a pleasant excursion anyway. We wondered what we would do in Goolwa for an hour but we found a Sunday Market right by the station. We walked around and looked at produce, knick nacks, and... More

We thought we were going to ride on the stream ranger but it turns out it only runs on school holidays/ public holidays. We did enjoy the train trip and the staff (all volunteers)are very friendly however I did think it was rather expensive, especially if you are taking the family along. If we had known the prices in advance,... More
