I'm astounded this place is still open. The sign on the Bruce Hwy pointing the way to the Big Pineapple should have been warning enough of what to expect. It's been over twenty years since we had been to the Big Pineapple and wow, what...More

This was the first time that I had visited the Big Pineapple in many, many years. It was disappointing that the cafe, that used to serve amazing Sundaes , was closed and most of the actual plantation was gone. The train, however, was quite pleasant...More

The Big Pineapple is an icon for the region and a frequent stopping point for tours and visitors alike. To view and admire is free, but any other activity you care to indulge in (including a snack) is horrendously (and ridiculously) very expensive.

The big pinapple is what you get, it has stairs inside and a reasonable view when you get to the top, there are a few things to look at on the way up. If you are looking forward to the restaurant and pinapples groeing nearby,...More

Unable to climb the big pineapple as it's closed for maintenance (water damage). This was not advised on their website so it was a wasted 2.5 hour drive to get there. The big shop and cafe is closed and a tiny one in its place....More

We were really looking forward to visiting the Big Pineapple as we hadn't been since our eldest was 2. We had fond memories of sharing a big pineapple split/sundae and were looking forward to having more! What a letdown. The Pineapple itself was closed. What...More

It's closed for good at the moment, not sure if it will open in the future but it looks unlikely!
