Visited here as a kid many times and was excited to show it to my kids. Very disappointed to see nothing there anymore. The pineapple is still there but there is no access to it, no restaurant and no pineapple plantation. The macadamia nut factory...More

I took some family members who were here on holiday to this place. The web site looked and sounded good. There is nothing there except a small shop that sells snacks. It looks like a derelict building and you couldn't even go inside the pineapple....More

Yes they have done up the Pineapple, and put a little shop/ticket house out front. But why oh why haven’t they closed off the run down/ derelict big building? Some other visitors were also commenting on the state of this area. Just have the Pineapple...More

Waste of time unless you want to see a plastic pineapple as there's nothing else. The place is derelict and unkempt. Beats me why the website isn't updated which would be the honest thing to do. Pineapples are all imported and nothing to see at...More

If you have fond memories of this icon please don't visit to avoid heartbreak. It is a ghost town and run down. Plans are to redevelop but not any time soon. Remember it for what it used to be not what it has become now.

The pineapple itself was closed, you could only view the outside. The cafe, attached zoo and sugar cane train were awesome if ever so slightly run down Great day out and would be great for kids.

Seen the sign and thought we’d have a look on our way past. It was a bit of a ghost town, buildings empty and run down. Small shop selling novelty trinkets, but very little to do with actual pineapples. The $5 train ride allowed you...More

It's closed for good at the moment, not sure if it will open in the future but it looks unlikely!
