We make award winning wines from Tropical Fruit and no this does not mean they are sweet and sticky. They range from very dry wines to ports and they are all commercial standard. The wines are single-fruit wines, not blends. All the fruits we use have big flavours and we grow them in the organic way and in our own orchard. The flavours of the fruits are retained in the wine.

We visited there recently. The staff was very friendly and explained all the wines. They were very nice and we bought a passion fruit wine. We walked around the property. Make sure when you visit to continue down the road and have a swim at the swimming hole.

Sounds like the perfect afternoon. A wine tasting followed by a swim in a freshwater creek. Cheers, Tony and Trudie Woodall More

Hi, Thank you for your review. We also like Grape wines but will always use these wines with food. The flavour of each fruit is very matchable with food. Tony. More

What a lovely little winery with a nice selection of unique wines. Our tastings were supported by great advice on what would accompany each wine, temperature to serve them at etc... keep up the great work. 🥂

Thank you for your review. We always provide full information on our wines because they are so different. Match the wine with the foods you eat. Much easier than with Grape wine. More

We visited Shannonvale in search of chocolate port, as it is a shared love of my wife and I. Shannonvale was the only purveyor of chocolate port in the area, so we dropped in. We decided to do the full wine tasting menu and were very surprised just how many of the wines we truly enjoyed. The owner was very... More

Thank you for your review. The Chocolate Port is now our most popular fortified wine. It used to be the multiple Gold medal Black Sapote but Chocolate seems to be the favourite taste of the world. So simple, Cocoa, a bit of sugar to take away the bitterness, the alcohol and the fermentation process. Cheers, Tony and Trudie. More

We visited here & had a lovely tasting experience at the cellar door. The wine is delicious & not like anything we had tasted before. The tasting was informative and the passion for their wine making was clear. Would really recommend anyone to visit, we really enjoyed the experience & are looking forward to drinking our wine when we get... More

Such a lovely way to spend an hour or so on a warm afternoon. My wife and I popped in for a quick visit, a taste and maybe a bottle of wine. Beware! Trudy will give you an expectionaly knowledgable tour through a delightful selection of different tastes that will inspire you to walk away with at least one bottle... More

While we are regular and experienced wine drinkers, none of us was experienced in the methodologies and taste/flavours of fruit wines, in this case tropical fruit wines. The winery itself is in a lovely rustic setting, looking perhaps a little run down, but with some gorgeous gardens, maintained by our hostess. She was great to deal with. Clearly stated the... More

Thanks Pedro for your comments. Sorry about the slightly run down mention. We have had a very busy main tourist season and we have been overwhelmed with "Farm" work with just the two of us. We promise to tidy things up a bit during the off season and we hope you will be impressed for your next visit. We enjoyed... More

Such a great winery, sans grapes. Can't help but buy a bottle each of everything, it's all so good. The mango wines (2 kinds, a dry and another slightly more mango-ish) are great and the chocolate liqueur is simply awesome. Fortunately it doesn't seem to be highly visited as when I went we were the only ones there. The owner... More

This winery is off the beaten path for sure to begin with and in order to taste all the wines you have to buy a bottle of wine EACH! We were not prepared for this at all and had we known that it was 1 bottle EACH just to taste the wines we would not have made the drive all... More

A strange review. If you read the other reviews we receive you will notice that this review is the opposite of everything about the Shannonvale Winery. No - you don't have to buy a bottle of wine to taste them all. We offer you 4 wines to taste without obligation or all of the wines to taste and to buy... More
