Always a breath of fresh air, this eclectic gallery offers a range of artworks which never disappoints. Friendly owners are always ready to offer insights into the varied displays and you will have as much time to browse as you wish, never feeling pressured to buy. What it lacks in size, this gallery makes up for in atmosphere. Delightful.

What an inspirational place!
Art on Cairncross certainly impressed me – enough to take the time to sit down and write this, something that I would not usually do.
As a lover of fine art I truly appreciate many works of sculpture, paintings, drawings, glass, and craft. The thing I loved most about this place is that the owners have the most amazing collection of award winning artists and art work. Each piece is so thoughtfully created and the stories behind the works and the artists are effortlessly communicated through all the beautiful pieces in the gallery. Simply stunning. A must see if you are in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

This is probably one of the best art galleries on the mountain, beautiful original paintings, sculptures and mediums, we bought 3 hand made books, all of which a work of art in themselves.

This is one of those places that you really have to visit when on the Sunshine Coast......it has something for everyone. From paintings (both modern and traditional), sculptures, jewellery, glassware and of course the amazing masks from Michael Taylor - truly "alka seltzer" to the eyes. Both local and artists from further afield are represented in one small space with a smorgasbord of restaurants surrounding it.

Art on Cairncross is in my opinion the best art gallery on the Sunshine Coast. I am always made welcome by Tony and Jane who just let you look around unhindered. But if you need to know more they are always pleased to help. Their knowledge about the art on display and the artists is second to none.

The consistency of variety and excellence has never faltered these past couple of decades. The service offered by the owners is above and beyond normal gallery expectations. Small gift items with a unique difference, to important works by notable artists, for investment and pure pleasure. This gallery is a gem to be sought out and discovered by all lovers of artistic expression.

What a delight to find this was - a range of exhibitions from glassware to fine art, some at very reasonable prices, featuring local artists. The staff were great to meet and gave much information about the local art scene

We have been including Art on Cairncross on our "must do while visiting the Sunshine Coast" list for many years. They showcase local, national and international artists, and it's worth visit to just browse, which they don't mind. You never know, you just might see something that takes your fancy!
Jane and Tony display an amazing array of all types of artwork from huge paintings and sculptures; facemasks (these have to be seen to be believed); to smaller pieces and jewellery.
There is something here for every budget, and we believe that if required it is possible to lay-by pieces, though we always must take ours with us!
We rarely leave without making a purchase of some description. Our last visit saw us leave with a painting, a tiny sculpture, a glass piece, and a beautiful freshwater pearl necklace.
They have a good website, if you're unable to visit in person, and we have bought pieces from afar. They offer a packing and delivery service through experienced art delivery services.
We thoroughly recommend a visit (or several!) to this delightful gallery, with its beautiful artwork and friendly, knowledgeable owners.

The setting out of the artwork is excellent. It is great to see a gallery where the artworks look like expertly crafted pieces of work. Rather than pieces that are ugly or untalented. There is a variety of mediums to please an eclectic range of tastes and similar mediums are together so you can compare which is your preferred piece. The owners are very friendly and willing to chat and are not pushy. There are a range of prices and as you look around you don't feel like you could not afford this but rather the prices make it accessible for everyone.
