About Outback Pioneers
Outback Pioneers invites everyone to come to Longreach and discover the heritage and pioneering spirit of outback Queensland. Step into pioneers shoes for holidays and experiences that entertain, educate and inspire. Owned and managed by the Kinnon family, Outback Pioneers reflects their love of the outback lifestyle and dedication to preserving it for future generations. Outback Pioneers is the only place in Australia you can gallop in a Cobb & Co stagecoach along part of an old mail route, see the Harry Redford Old Time Tent Show and much more. You can also take a sunset cruise on the Thomson River to a stockman’s dinner around the campfire plus visit the Kinnon’s historic, working Nogo Station where Captain Starlight kept his stolen cattle and where station life continues to defy drought and distance. In Longreach, the Kinnon & Co Station Store and The Welcome Home are further attractions and the Outback Pioneers booking office is in The Welcome Home building at 128 Eagle Street.

Wonderful experience with this fantastic company visiting Nogo Station, Thomson river sunset cruise, Winton and the dinosaurs, Australian Stockman's Hall of fame. Don't miss any of them out.

This is a terrific thing to do when in Longreach, very thrilling experience. We also did the Starlight Cruise & Nogo Station. All three are a truly great experience whether it’s your first time or a return travellers like us. We go to Longreach at least once a year, a terrific place to relax. Would highly recommend a trip, everyone so friendly.

Stagecoach experience was great and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Then 1.5hrs of our time was wasted watching a 1950’s movie. That time could of been more productive looking around the local streets/shops. Some people just didn’t even attend the tent show, as they were put off from watching the movie. We had the billy tea lunch while watching the tent show.

The Kinnon family and their band of characters deliver a down to earth , true blue Aussie outback experience complete with the history and humour that has sustained so many living in this area. Highly recommend Starlight's Cruise Experience. This was a second visit for me and I still enjoyed it all: The informative cruise, the dinner with music accompaniment (new) and even if you don't consider yourself a lover of bush poetry, you will enjoy Scotty's renditions about some of life's struggles and obstacles. The evening was finished nicely with a movie followed by a cuppa and some damper. I will return and do it all again.
