The walk down is definitely worth the hefty climb back up! Stunning waterholes, rock formations, colours & an easy stroll once you reach the bottom. Take bathers and a towel if you like a swim. Will take about 1-1.5 hrs including photography and a few...More

The view from the first lookout was breathtaking. A small drive further down the road and headed into the national park. Nice facilities for picnics and amenities. I thoroughly suggest doing both walks if you have the time. The pyramid walk into the gorge (and...More

We visited one Saturday afternoon in winter around 3pm. We walked down with a baby and a 4yr old and it took about 30 mins to get down. The tracks are ok but slippery in places. The view is amazing and well worth the walk....More

The view from the lookout is fantastic and worth the drive out from Hughenden. We did the walk down into the Gorge and we enjoyed exploring the waterholes. Walk back up was okay with plenty of excuses to stop to take in the amazing scenery....More

Amazing spot to enjoy during the day or even to sleep in the campground. Do not just stay in the lookout, go down in the 2km return hike and have a swim in the gorge. A total beauty.

Good spot for a walk and camping. Toilets are available but no showers. Great to see water in the gorge and the walk down was easier than coming back up!

I don't believe there are tours from Hughenden. It's a sealed road out to the gorge and the walking tracks are clearly marked. You could ring the discovery centre the tourist information centre to find out more.
