Worth the visit, very pleasant drive to the dam, the countryside alone was worth the drive, Fairbairn Dam was and Lake Maraboon was pictureesque and interesting enough that we stopped and faced the HEAT to take photos and video.

Although not much water, still able to do water sports in it. The camp area seemed very clean and green. Work happening on the wall.

It is well worth the dive to the dam if you have a few hours to spare. The views form the lookout are great and the walk across the dam is interesting.

Rode out from Emerald and completed the loop - just shy of 50 k's Excellent ride that can be comfortably completed under two hours.

Top spot for a quiet day out. If you are in the area. Peaceful. September was great during the day. It got cooler at night. Good for sitting around a fire with a glass of red. Top spot.

The highlight (if you don't have a boat/kayak etc) is the drive across the dam wall - pretty special. If you are after some red claw the place is full of them.

This is a very clean, beautiful water way. Lots of Redclaw to catch, and a good clean area for swimming. Very easy to launch boat into the Dam. Lots of parking, and a lovely area for a barbecue or picnic.

As many as you can catch within the trap limit. Just check with a local as I don't eat them, but I thought it was 10 traps.
