The animals seemed well cared for but the grounds were very run down. I fell over when my foot slipped down a hole in the grassed area, no warning signs! luckily for me the torn skin off my heel seems to be just a local infection the next few days will tell. when leaving the zoo could not find a... A jump in the wild and easy-going Australia with this stay: the zoo is just under your room ! Still, very familiar to have breakfast or dinner with the other guests and the nice owners. Lovely, nice containers and bottles for honey or jam, as if you were not in a formal hotel. Books available to read at the B&B... More

First off, it's a nice bed-and-breakfast. For four of us, we had a room with a king sized bed and two twins for the kids. There was a bathroom in the room. Breakfast is basic, cereal and toast options. When we were there they had some yummy ginger orange jam. That's all just fine. What puts it over the top... More

We (couple and child) stayed in the Kingfisher Room and my Dad stayed in the Sunset Room. We all love the outdoors and wildlife, but our 11 year old daughter especially fell in love with Daintree Wild. She just couldn't believe that she could walk out the back door, onto the verandah and then out the gate, day or night... More

Visited the zoo and stayed in the accommodation in June. Great place to visit, lovely accommodation overlooking the pool and you can see kangaroos hopping around from the Terrace. The zoo has got lots to see with some really interesting animals. There is a Euro (a bit like a kangaroo) called Mouse which is really friendly so you can stroke... More

We have come a long way to see the Daintree area and we weren't leaving until we saw a Cassowary! So we drove for a day and a half without any luck and finally decided if we don't see him in the wild we would come here! It was great as we camd to see the Cassowary and saw all... More

The 'Zoo' is tired and needs maintenance. We did visit just before the peak season, perhaps there is going to be a working bee next week? The enclosures were small, crowded and miserable looking. Here are a lot of bird varieties which was really nice, however the enclosures were depressing. There's a lovely Wallaroo called mouse who will follow your... More
