This little known lagoon is worth a visit for birdlife and wonderful lilies. I am afraid the heat and humidity got to me so we only stayed an hour.

A short drive from Cooktown along highway. The lagoon is a great place for short walk to view and learn more about birdlife. Nice location with picnic tables and good parking.

Beautiful scene with lilies on the lagoon and plenty of birds. However spray well for mosquitoes as they were big and plentiful when we visited.

Fabulous walkways, the habitat has amazing birdlife and plants. It is well worth exploring this amazing lagoon, located so close to Cooktown.
