We enjoyed a coffee and breakfast at bad habits before meandering through the several floors of exhibits, including convent and school history and the gallery exhibits. A range of talented artists from paintings to sculpture and craft/ jewellery and hand printed Aussie originals on felt and silk. The buildings and gardens have been lovingly restored and the entry price of... More

Daylesford has to be one of the prettiest towns in Victoria. Picturesque and lots of local history. The drive from Ballerat was simply beautiful (November). Both my husband and I wished we could have had more time there. We went to see the Convent gallery specifically and delighted that we did. Lovely gardens lead up to a beautifully preserved convent... We stopped into here on a trip back from Ballarat to Melbourne, was worth the extra kilometres. Beautiful gardens welcome you to the delightful cafe, menu had some unusual dishes on it but they all sounded great, so much so I wanted to order 3 or 4 and made it hard to decide. Staff were great and food was terrific.... More

Wonderful art in a classic old world building. Displays a variety of art from paintings to ceramics and sculpture. Changing exhibitions throughout the year. A must when visiting Daylesford.

Where do I start? We waited about 30 minutes for our lunch to arrive, only to send one dish back as the bread wasn't baked properly. When we were ready to pay, the bill included two extra items that we did not order, and then had to wait a further 10 minutes for the bill to be revised and corrected,... More

It is worth a re is a gallery with lots of differing artwork all for sale. The cafe is great for launch or a snack and serves wine too. The gardens are good for a stroll or a photo opportunity and the view for the top of the gardens over the valley is pretty. There also appears to be a... More

Whether you take the time to wander around the Convent Gallery or just go for brunch, lunch or afternoon tea, it's definitely worth a visit. The convent building itself if fascinating and provides an interesting insight into life from times gone by. The gallery hosts a variety of artwork and is always evolving. Don't forget to check out what's available... More

The gallery is a delight & we just adore the chapel. It is a place you can spend a lot of time in even just to soak up the atmosphere. Finish off by having the best scones, jam & cream ever! A must to visit if you are in Daylesford.

Though we arrived late we were welcomed in by the very friendly staff. You must visit this place it is extensive and intriguing . Be prepared to spend a lot of time here you cant conceive how big it is. And have a picnic on grounds if you don't want to use there food and drink facilities. You must go.
