We were lucky enough to be there when the Begonias were in bloom - such a wonderful display in the small hothouse with seating to enjoy them. Lovely gardens to walk around - not too big, with a very scenic drive.

Don't miss the stunning colours in the Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens during Autumn. You can walk around or drive around these beautiful gardens, dogs on leads are permitted & there is a cool fernery with running water as well.

We found these gardens by chance and we loved them. They are the perfect place to just relax. They are not as large as some botanical gardens yet are very serene. We walked the fern walk which was about 10 minutes then sat at a garden table and relaxed. It was a lovely way to spend an hour just being... More

A short drive up Wombat Hill from Daylesford is a little sanctuary, with magnificent old trees, a beautiful fernery and a cafe. There's a weird old concrete tower to climb for a great view, or you can walk amongst the trees of just sit quietly and enjoy the serenity,

Had a lovely lunch and went for a drive through this lovely Botanical garden. The views over the plains are beautiful. Well maintained and some remarkably tall trees. Easy to find from the town centre.

The place to go for a brunch with the choice of 3 spots - a convivial dining area with open fire, covered outdoor heated dog friendly spot with a variety of quirky dining settings or sit in the fresh air amongst the vegetables as they grow. Able to be comfortably solo reading the Sunday papers or with a group. Food... More

Did the little scenic drive around the hill. Parked and took a walk too. The view was amazing and glad I saw it.

Went here to check it out as a potential wedding venue - sadly disappointed. Minimal 'gardens', the only place with a view is next to the road, and much smaller than expected. Still, it was quite relaxing and well maintained. Great for a little stop, and handy having a cafe there.

Love the name and love the gardens. We saw lots of wallabies and birds. Great views and very peaceful - enjoy the drive and walk.

My mother and I had a beautiful walk through the gardens followed by a lovely glass of wine at the café afterwards. Beautiful surroundings and definitely a great spot for a picnic too!
